Radio for a Cause operates as an autism radio station dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through inclusive broadcasting, media training, and community connection, fostering disability inclusion broadcasting in the process.

Radio for a Cause began with a simple but powerful belief: every voice deserves to be heard. What started as a grassroots streaming station has evolved into a community-driven movement centered on inclusion, empowerment, and opportunity through broadcasting. Inspired by the need for greater representation and meaningful opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum and people with disabilities, this autism radio station was created to provide a platform where individuals can build confidence, develop communication skills, share their stories, and connect with the community. Today, Radio for a Cause continues to grow through community partnerships, fundraisers, outreach, and its future vision of launching 96.9 The Spectrum FM — an inclusive community radio station dedicated to disability inclusion broadcasting in Northeast Indiana.
What began as a lifelong dream of broadcasting since high school evolved into several smaller online stations before the launch of Spectrum Online Radio in September 2019. Since then, this autism radio station, known as Radio for a Cause, has grown into a community-driven movement focused on inclusive broadcasting and empowering individuals with disabilities through media, storytelling, and community connection. Our commitment to disability inclusion broadcasting has fostered a vibrant community radio platform that uplifts diverse voices.
